Welcome to the very first newsletter from The Phoenix.

If you do not wish to receive these brief monthly updates from the Phoenix click on the link at the bottom to be removed.

The Petaluma Phoenix Center, Inc., the non-profit which owns and operates the Phoenix Theater has a new website. It’s where you’ll find out more about who and what we are, what’s going on this month including our show calendar, why we do what we do. Check it out at www.petalumaphoenix.org. Give us feedback! Try out our new extra special online donation page!

Phoenix School of Music is hosting Free Open Jam sessions with Gio Benedetti on the first and third Sundays of the month, 5 to 7 pm. This is a great chance to play with other musicians, experienced and not, in a supportive & relaxed atmosphere. We’ve received donations of great instruments (drum set, keyboard, a few acoustic guitars) and sound equipment from Zone Music, Gibson Guitar, Mesa Boogie, and Blues Harmonica player Bruce Kernow. Come play or come listen. Call Gio with questions: (707) 695-7363

Recently, the Phoenix kids formed a Teen Council. The Teen Council works closely with the board of directors and all of the Phoenix Family to make cool things happen, recommend policy, help raise money. This summer the teen council wanted to wainscot the walls, get new murals painted, fix the auditorium floors and generally clean up the theater. 30 teen volunteers, Larry Castelanni our volunteer building superintendent, Rebuilding Together of Petaluma, Petaluma Sunrise Rotary, Sonoma County Youth Volunteer Corps and other mentors and donors got it all done one hot week in July! Come take a look.
